ScarletMail can be accessed at or via the myRutgers portal. Alumni and retirees can continue to use ScarletApps services forever, providing a lifelong link to the many resources available to the Rutgers community. The service can be activated at by clicking on “Service Activation.” The ScarletApps suite provides additional enhanced communication and collaboration tools, such as Drive, Google+, Calendar, and others. ScarletMail accounts are available for all faculty and staff. ScarletMail – Rutgers student email is called ScarletMail (GoogleApps for Education).Faculty and staff should contact their departmental IT person for more information on this option. Existing RUMail customers can contact the support team via email at Departmental solution – Some departments operate their own email/calendaring solution.

RUMail, a fee based service, is offered by the Office of Information Technology as a premium service and includes email, address books, calendaring, tasks, documents, and briefcases.

Please note that these email options will be phased out as faculty/staff migrate to Rutgers Connect Ĭurrent email options include the following : For more details on this new service, please see. Starting in January 2016 and over the next several months work will proceed to migrate all departmental email to this new service. A migration partner has been hired to assist OIT with this project. All current university faculty and staff email services will be migrated to Rutgers Connect. This cloud service includes email, calendaring, and many other services including 1 terabyte of general storage and 50 gigabytes for email per person. This single email and calendaring system will effectively improve communications, collaboration and scheduling across the community as part of the President’s Strategic Plan. The new official centralized university-wide email and calendar service, based on Microsoft Office 365, is called Rutgers Connect.
